Bhagavad Gita 2.20
The soul is neither born, and nor does it die; it is eternal and everlasting.
Bhagavad Gita 6.6
For one who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, the mind will remain the greatest enemy.
Who We Are
ISKM Proddatur
ISKM Proddatur is a branch of the International Sri Krishna Mandir (ISKM) movement, guided by the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
We are dedicated to awakening Krishna consciousness in every soul by distributing:
- Spiritual knowledge.
- Krishna prasadam.
- Pure devotional culture.
Our mission is based on the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and other eternal Vedic scriptures — as they are.

Festivals & Events
We celebrate all major Vaishnava festivals with devotion and community participation:

Services
🍛 Annadanam (Free Prasadam Distribution)
“Serving Krishna Prasadam to all.”
At our temple, we believe in the sacred tradition of Annadanam, where food offered to Lord Krishna (prasadam) is distributed freely to all, nourishing both body and soul. Every week, we prepare and serve pure vegetarian meals, lovingly prepared and sanctified through prayer, to anyone in need—regardless of background or belief. This act of selfless service embodies the spirit of compassion and community, reflecting Lord Krishna's teachings of love and generosity.
🍛 The Glory of Krishna Prasadam
“Prasadam – food that feeds both the body and the soul.”
In the Vedic tradition, food is not merely nourishment — it is an offering, a sacred act of devotion. Krishna Prasadam refers to pure vegetarian food that is lovingly prepared, offered to Lord Krishna with devotion, and then distributed to others. This is no longer ordinary food — it becomes prasadam, meaning “mercy.”
🌿 Spiritual Significance
When we prepare food with devotion, avoiding meat, onion, garlic, and other rajasic or tamasic ingredients, and offer it to Krishna through prayers and mantras, the food becomes spiritualized. It is no longer just a meal—it carries divine vibrations. Consuming prasadam purifies the heart, elevates consciousness, and connects us with God through a deeply personal experience.
🙏 The Offering Process
- Cooked with love, purity, and cleanliness
- Placed before a deity or picture of Lord Krishna
- Offered with prayers, such as the Maha-Mantra or the prayer:
"namo brahmanya-devāya go-brāhmaṇa-hitāya ca
jagat-hitāya kṛṣṇāya govindāya namo namaḥ"
After the offering, the Lord accepts it, and what remains is prasadam — infused with His mercy.
❤️ Why We Distribute It
Distributing Krishna prasadam is a form of devotional service (seva). It's a way to share Krishna's mercy with everyone — rich or poor, young or old, regardless of background. It spreads spiritual joy, creates a sense of unity, and awakens bhakti (devotion) in the heart.
Eating prasadam helps:
- Purify the mind and heart
- Develop gratitude and humility
- Connect us with the Lord through a daily, tangible act of love
🕊️ More Than a Meal
Whether served at a temple, at a festival, or on the streets, Krishna prasadam transforms the act of eating into a spiritual experience. It is a gateway to bhakti-yoga — the path of love and devotion.
